“Future of Children in International Law”: February conference at Southwestern

image_previewIn keeping with my new appointment by International Criminal Court Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda as her Special Adviser on Children in Armed Conflict, this site will pay close attention to news related to children in law and society. Thus I note that on February 22, 2013, Southwestern Law School in Los Angeles, California, will host a conference on The Future of Children in International Law. As detailed in the program, panelists, from as near as L.A. and as far as Melbourne and Istanbul, will explore “Shattered Families,” “Rights of Children & Governmental Responses,” “Adoption, Abduction & the Hague Conventions,” and “Children Trafficking & Children in Conflict with the Law.” The law school’s international law journal will publish symposium papers and transcripts.
